Thus, according to the table above, FRO and I should be
- 3rd cousin, if Nicola Francesco Domenico Cognoli or Ernesta Orsini were cousins of Pasquale Rosati, Emidia Tosti, Serafino Del Grande, or Rita Franceschini;
- 4th cousin, if Pietro Baldassarre Cognoli or Carolina Guerrieri were cousins of Filippo del Grande or Maria Ciriaci;
- 5th cousin, if Rosa Del Grande was a syster of Pietro Del Grande;
- 6th cousin, if one of the parents of Rosa Del Grande was a brother or a syster of Antonio del Grande.
Location
As confirmed by FRO in a mail, his relatives were from Acquasanta Terme (AP, Marche, Italia) and/or Santa Maria, a town nearby, as mine. I have no known ancestors from San Benedetto del Tronto (AP, Marche, Italia), thus I ignored for the moment that part of his tree.
Surnames in his tree are present also in mine and in the Acquasanta Vol. IV (cfr. e.g. Pag. 290 for the Quaglia family, Pag. 256 to 258 for the Orsini family, etc.). However, the cited book reports the genealogies of Acquasanta and Cagnano only, so that our ancestors cannot be found there but for only the ones born in Acquasanta (e.g. my grandfather and his branch).
FRO indicates as place of birth of Serafino Del Grande, Filippo Del Grande, and Pietro Del Grande Acquasanta. However the surname Del Grande is not present in the citated book, neither the surname Rosati, probably they were from some town nearby, like Quintodecimo, or Paggese, or any other small town between Acquasanta and S. Maria.
On the other side, there are some surnames in FRO’s family tree and in the possible relationship as per the table above, that are in the citated book: e.g. Ciriaci, Franceschini, Orsini, and as not reported (Pag. 336) also Tosti.
